Meet Abhilash, the consummate dad, doer of all things tech, and all-around awesome dude!
If you’ve met or talked to Abhilash, you know he takes his role very seriously and believes if he’s not gaining your trust, he’s not doing things right. We love that about him!
Abhilash came to Motifworks with a degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology – Surathkal, India. He resides in Cockeysville, MD with his wife Sheila, 6-year old daughter, Anvitha, 1-year old daughter, Nihitha (who keeps him on his toes). He credits his wife for passing along her amazing singing talents to his 6-year old and told us that his favorite pass time is entertaining his daughters. When not working or keeping the kiddos entertained, Abhilash likes to hit the gym, play tennis and play badminton.
We asked Abhilash for some fun facts and here’s what he had to say:
What three objects are on your desk?
- Planters Nut-rition box
- Coconut Water
- Flower Vase (courtesy of Thalia)
What is the first device you reach for in the morning?
The first thing I reach for in the morning is my phone to turn off the alarm (we see a trend here with the Motifworks staff)
After arriving at work in the morning, what is your first stop?
My desk. Haha!
How long have you worked for Motifworks? What are you most looking forward to with the company?
I have been with Motifworks for 5 years and I’m most looking forward to continuing to contribute to Motifwork’s organic growth in an enhanced capacity.
(On a side note – That’s a nice anniversary – We looked it up and the traditional gift for a 5 year anniversary is wood – So, Abhilash, you supply the fire pit and we’ll bring the wood!)
I leave work each day knowing/feeling…
That I can do much better than what I have done so far (we like that)
What is your favorite thing about Motifworks?
The passion and zeal with which the entire team strives to take Motifworks to the next level.
What trend in your industry are you most excited/interested to try?
What we’re knee deep in… Internet of Things (IoT)
If you could have dinner with any 3-people dead or alive, who would they be?
- Alexander, The Great – His excellent strategy and leadership skills. He was not only innovative but also quick in taking decisions and acting on them. He always led his army from the front and never lost a battle.
- Mother Theresa – Her compassion and empathy for the needy were nothing less than extraordinary. I was lucky to have met her.
- Elon Musk – His innovative thinking, risk-taking and never say die attitude are astounding.
(Now that sounds like a great dinner party!)
What is your favorite quote?
“Great use of life is to spend it for something that will outlast it.” – William James
We are grateful to have Abhilash as part of the Motifworks team. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting him, look him up on the socials!
